BRICK PAVER INSTALLATION PROCESS:
1- Initial Consultation & Planning
We begin with a discussion to understand your vision, needs, and preferences related to outdoor design. During this initial phase, we’ll also assess the area to ensure it is suitable for the paver installation process. Additionally, we will recommend design options that align with your style and functionality while outlining the essential paver installation steps and necessary site preparation.
2 – Site Preparation
• Marking and Layout: We mark the area and outline the design on the ground to ensure accuracy.
• Excavation: The area is excavated to the proper depth, which usually depends on the type of traffic (pedestrian or vehicle). This ensures a solid foundation.
3 – Base Installation
In the paver installation process, a base layer of crushed stone or gravel, often referred to as ‘aggregate,’ is spread and compacted. This layer is crucial for effective outdoor design as it provides drainage and prevents shifting. The thickness of this base depends on local soil conditions and the intended use of the surface, which is an essential consideration in the site preparation and paver installation steps
4 – Edge Restraints Installation
To ensure the pavers stay in place during the paver installation process, edge restraints are installed. These are critical for maintaining the structure of the paved area over time, which is essential in outdoor design and effectively follows the paver installation steps after proper site preparation.
5 – Laying the Pavers
The pavers are installed according to the selected design pattern. Precision and proper alignment are key to achieving a clean, professional finish. Any necessary cuts are made to ensure a seamless fit around edges and obstacles.
6 – Sand Application and Compaction
Once the pavers are laid, sand is spread across the surface and swept into the joints. A plate compactor is then used to settle the pavers and lock them into place, helping prevent shifting and ensuring the joints are securely filled.
7- Final Touches
Excess sand is swept off the surface. The area is cleaned, and we perform a final inspection to ensure everything meets our quality standards.
8 – Sealer Application (Optional)
Depending on your preferences, we can apply a sealant to enhance the color, protect the surface, and increase durability.
